Springtime in Italy! Will and I went to Sicily with friends and then set off on our own to see the Amalfi Coast. We also visited Verona and Rome. But first, I’ll show you one of our favorite spots from the whole trip!

The isle of Capri is a gem off the Italian coast, a quick boat ride away from where we stayed in Sorrento. The ferry tickets and schedules can be finicky but luckily we got tickets first thing in the morning and the weather behaved. We set sail for the a beautiful day of gelato, espresso, and sightseeing on the island!

Early April was the perfect time to visit before the summer jetset crowd arrives. We rented a Vespa and saw so much in just one day. We had a few small mishaps with the bike but Will is a fearless driver. There are very few cars on the island, besides taxis for those who don’t rent a scooter. Regardless, it felt like an adventure straight of the Lizzie McGuire movie.

Once our ferry docked at the Porto Turistico di Capri, we rented our scooter from Oasi Motor. Then we drove to Faro di Punta Carena on the other side of the island to see the pink lighthouse and beautiful coastline. We explored local shops and cafes for coffee and Aperol spritzes on our way to Marina Piccola Beach, where I took this video. It was a magical day exploring this colorful, peaceful island!

Couple enjoying a Vespa ride in the lush coastal landscape on the island of Capri. The road is surrounded by greenery and against a backdrop of a clear blue sky and ocean cliffs.
